Long distance hiking in Styria
If you are more of a long-distance hiker, there are two different trails to choose from: VIA NATURA in the nature park Zirbitzkogel Grebenzen (interaction between people and nature are brought closer on 10 stages) or the long-distance hiking trail "from glacier to wine". But also the high altitude hiking trails are worth a try. e.g. the 8 summit hike from the Kreischberg to the Frauenalpe. Climb the Kreischberg with the gondola or the Grebenzen or the Lachtal with the chairlifts. From there, take advantage of the leisurely hikes for the whole family.
During your side trip to the Niedere Tauern, a visit to one of our crystal-clear lakes is of course not to be missed. Here you can control your pace individually. Either you are very brave and dare a jump into the cool water or climb the surrounding peaks. Once you have reached your destination, you can fortify yourself with a delicious hiking snack. For a few minutes you lie down in the sun and let your soul dangle.
