The golf course Murau - Kreischberg is located between the ski resort Kreischberg and the district town Murau and was planned in 2006 by Diethard Fahrenleitner and Barbara Eisserer.

The course is also located in the middle of the "Holzwelt Murau" and has an unmistakable wooden design. Wooden palisades border ponds, greens and bunkers, an ancient alpine hut serves as a "halfway - station", a three hundred year old farmhouse serves as a greenkeeper station and of course the entire guidance system on the course is kept in wood.

The course is very generously planned and offers so much space for forests, wooded strips and ponds. The 18 - hole par 72 course is bordered by wooded slopes, the Nockberge mountains and the green Mur river.

The Mariahof golf course is located in the middle of the Zirbizkogel-Grebenzen nature park region in the upper Mur valley.
