Customs and tradition
During the holidays, you'll hear the rattling sounds and children's voices instead of church bells. On Holy Saturday, bring your own little basket and visit the meat blessing at the Rindermarkt in Murau. Delicacies like meat, eggs, horseradish, and bread are packed inside. After the blessing, you're warmly invited to enjoy the traditional Easter snack from your own basket with us. And don't forget the 'egg tapping' game!
In the evening, around 7:30 PM, the traditional Easter bonfire will be lit for the children at the fire station in Eisgrube. Celebrate with the locals by the crackling fire; drinks will be provided. The next morning, don't miss our traditional Easter egg hunt! Lots of red eggs will be hidden around the house by the Easter Bunny, and everyone, big and small, is invited to join in.
For a culinary treat, let us surprise you with authentic Easter delicacies like cream soup, our traditional Easter snack, kid goat, and much more at our Lercher's Restaurant.
