Customs and tradition
During the holidays, listen to the sounds of ratchets and children's voices instead of church bells. Visit the meat consecration ceremony at the cattle market in Murau with your own basket on Holy Saturday. Delicacies such as meat, eggs, cheese and bread are packed inside. After the consecration, you are cordially invited to join us for the traditional Easter snack from your own basket. Don't forget to enjoy the "Eiertutschen".
In the evening, the traditional Easter bonfire will be lit for the children at around 7.30 pm at the fire station in the ice pit. Celebrate with the locals while the fire crackles, drinks are provided. The next morning, don't miss our traditional Easter egg hunt. The Easter bunny hides lots of red eggs around the house. Young and old are invited to join in.
