Tips for your cycling holiday along the Mur
You wake up in your comfy bed, full of excitement. Well-rested, you stroll over to the breakfast buffet. The smell of delicious pastries fills the air. Our friendly team shows you to your table on the larch terrace. You breathe in the fresh air and enjoy a hearty breakfast. At reception, you'll get your tour map with great tips from our local pros. Whether you're on an e-bike or a city bike, you can explore the side valleys of the Murtal and conquer some hills. You'll love the beautiful flower meadows along the way, and gazing at the deep blue sky will help you relax and unwind.
Our family tip is the Mur Cycle Path. You can easily take the Murtalbahn 'bike train' towards Tamsweg. Driven by the sound of the water, you'll cycle the first downhill section of the Mur Cycle Path. Stories of old castles along the way, varied forest paths, idyllic villages, picturesque landscapes, and the inviting Wood Museum in St. Ruprecht will be your companions.

If you're up for an adventure, conquering a peak on two wheels is just the thing. Grab your mountain bike and head for the surrounding peaks. Enjoy the challenging climb and the freedom you'll feel afterwards. Grebenzen, Kreischberg, and Frauenalpe are waiting for you. Not enough adrenaline yet? Proud of reaching your destination for the day, you arrive at the Hotel Gasthof. You can comfortably treat yourself to a cool refreshment on the outdoor terrace at the foot of Schlossberg, home to the Schwarzenberg princely family.
