Where is the hotel located?

The hotel is located in the middle of the historic center of Murau in Styria. The small historic trading town of Murau is nestled in the picturesque countryside.

What is the location of the hotel like?

The hotel in Styria with adjoining garden is located in the middle of the old town of Murau - at the foot of the Schwarzenberg family's castle hill.


Are children allowed in your hotel?

Children are very welcome at the hotel. Whether winter or summer, the Murau adventure region offers a varied and adventurous family vacation.


Are pets allowed?

You are welcome to bring your little and big pets with you.

We charge € 15,00 per day, without food in our budget rooms 3* and selected Murauer garden rooms 4*.


What services are included with my room booking?

Is there an elevator in your hotel?

All rooms are accessible by elevator from the reception. However, please let us know if you have any physical limitations so that we can select the most suitable room for you.


Is there free WLAN at the Murauer Gasthof Hotel Lercher?

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, the password is available at reception or can be found in the information folder in your room.


Is there air conditioning?

Due to the location of the hotel in the middle of the old town of Murau and yet in the countryside, air conditioning is not yet necessary here.


Can I park free of charge?

Yes, you can park free of charge directly in front of and next to the hotel.

What room categories are available?

The hotel has grown steadily. The 3* budget rooms are ideal for travelers with a small budget for accommodation but a desire for delicious food!

For vacationers seeking relaxation, we recommend the Murauer Rooms 4* and the Hotel Rooms 4*.

All room categories are housed in one building, but differ in terms of furnishings and comfort.


When can I check into the hotel?

Check-in is possible from 15:00. Earlier if available.


Is a late check-in possible?

If you arrive after 20:00, please let us know your approximate arrival time by telephone or in writing so that we can explain everything else to you.

If our restaurant is still open, a regular check-in is possible.

If the restaurant is already closed when you arrive, you will find your key in our key depot.


By what time should I leave the room on the day of departure?

We ask you to check out by 11:00 am.


Is a late check out possible?

Late check-out is possible for an additional charge, subject to availability.


When is the reception open?

Reception is open daily from 08:00 to 20:00.

Questions about the booking process

Do I have to pay a deposit?

When you book, we ask for a deposit of € 200.00 per room. The deposit corresponds to a booking confirmation.

In the event of late arrival or early departure, we will charge 100% of the total package price.

In case of timely cancellation, the deposit will of course be returned.

Do you offer travel insurance?

We recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance with Europäische Reiseversicherung.

You can simply use the link in the booking confirmation to calculate your cancellation premium and take out the insurance.


What cancellation conditions should I expect?

In order to be able to plan your vacation carefree, you have the possibility to cancel or change your booking free of charge up to two weeks before arrival.

After that we charge the following cancellation fees:

  • up to 4 days before arrival 70 % of the total arrangement price
  • from 3 days before the day of arrival, in case of no-show and early departure 100 % of the total arrangement price

When is breakfast served?

Breakfast is served from 07:00 to 10:00.


Can you have breakfast outdoors in summer?

Yes, you can have breakfast in the morning sun on our larch terrace in summer.


Is breakfast served or is there a buffet?

You can help yourself from our buffet.

Our breakfast offer:

Is there a half-board option?

In winter we offer our hotel guests a 4-course evening menu with salad as part of the Lercher's Genusspension.

In spring, summer and fall we offer half board for groups or on request.


When does the half-board dinner take place?

The evening menu is served in 2 sittings at 18:00 or 19:30. Please let us know your preferred time.
