What does the Murau Adventure Region offer?

The cable cars will even take you up the mountains in summer. You can cycle along the Mur river or enjoy the sparkling winter wonderland. Comfortably gain some altitude with an e-bike or snowshoes.
Zoom over the passes on your motorbike or ski down into the valley. The perfectly groomed slopes up to about 2,200m above sea level guarantee real winter fun. Your daring jumps in the snowpark at Kreischberg or Lachtal will get your heart racing.

In the Murau mountains, you'll discover exciting alpine challenges in the Niedere Tauern and pure hiking bliss with stunning distant views of the gentle Nockberge hills.

Can you fish in the Mur river?
Yes, there are 2 fishing areas around the town of Murau.

Which ski mountains are near the hotel?
If you love safe alpine skiing (downhill skiing, snowboarding, or freestyle), your heart will race on the unique ski mountains of Kreischberg and Lachtal, with their perfectly groomed slopes. Come and experience a ski holiday in the Murau region!

Can you rent skis at Kreischberg?
You can rent skis at Intersport Pintar, either at the bottom or top station of the gondola. Or, you can check out Sport “Suli” in St. Lorenzen, or even the SULI Snowboard School at the top gondola station.
You can even choose your equipment online before you arrive!
Is there a ski school?
Absolutely! Little and big ski bunnies can sharpen their skills at our ski schools, like the Kreischberg Mayer Ski School, Richi's Ski School, or Suli Snowboard School.
Can you go cross-country skiing in the region?
