The Sölkpass is located at 1,788 meters above sea level and is not cleared in winter due to low use. On the pass road there are a number of interesting viewpoints.
From the Sölkpass there is the possibility of the subsequent passage to the Radstädter Tauernpass and the Triebener Tauernpass located in the east.
