A ride with the Murtalbahn steam slow train
The Murtalbahn is only a few minutes walk from the Murauer Gasthof Hotel Lercher!
The Murtalbahn starts at the station in Unzmarkt and then travels to Murau / Stolzalpe, then continues to Tamsweg to Mauterndorf. So the train runs from Styria to Salzburg.
The steam slow train runs every Tuesday and Thursday in the summer months from July to September from Murau to Tamsweg and back.
Tip: Take your bike with you!
