The Murau – Kreischberg golf course is nestled between the Kreischberg ski resort and the district town of Murau, and it was designed back in 2006 by Diethard Fahrenleitner and Barbara Eisserer.

The course is also right in the heart of 'Murau Wood World' and features a really distinctive wooden design. You'll see wooden fences around the ponds, greens, and bunkers, an old alpine hut serves as a 'halfway station,' a 300-year-old farmhouse is used as the greenkeeper station, and naturally, all the signs around the course are made of wood too.

The whole course is super spacious, with lots of room for forests, tree lines, and lovely ponds. This 18-hole, Par 72 course is surrounded by wooded hillsides, the Nockberge mountains, and the beautiful green Mur river.

Mr. Lercher, from Murauer Hotel Gasthof Lercher, is actually a founding member of the Murau - Kreischberg Golf Club.

The Mariahof golf course is nestled in the Zirbizkogel-Grebenzen Nature Park region in the upper Murtal valley. It's perfectly integrated into the natural landscape, surrounded by the Furtnerteich bird paradise, the Kalk- and Fellberg mountains, and the Teinberg mountain with its romantic Steinschloss ruin. The 18-hole course blends in beautifully.

The course is located on a high plateau with breathtaking panoramic views. But it's not just the surroundings that are amazing; the golf course itself will make every golfer's heart beat faster.

The course got a big makeover in 2000, almost completely rebuilt following the plans of Irish architect Jeff Howes. You'll find it nestled at the flat entrance to the Gaal valley, surrounded by a beautiful riverside landscape and with the stunning Seckauer Alps as a backdrop.

The Lungau golf course is famous for being one of the most beautiful and challenging courses around. With its many natural obstacles and sunny, elevated setting, it promises pure golfing fun and a great sporting challenge for golfers of every skill level.

You don't need a course permit or membership to play on the 9-hole course here, and you only need a little bit of golf experience. There's also a dedicated PGA-certified golf school with a fantastic shop right on site!
