Medium bike tour for cycling connoisseurs on asphalt with maximum gradients of 6 to 8%. The beautiful view of the Rantental valley with the highest mountains of Murau, the three-stone Preber at 2,741 m, Roteck at 2,742 m, Barbaraspitze at 2,726 m and the former Humburger saw with the Waschlrad are sights on this bike tour.
After the bike tour you can relax with a dinner at Lercher's Restaurant. A glass of wine from the hotel's own wine cellar should not be missed, of course. The wellness area of the Murau Gasthof Hotel Lercher is also available for you.

Directions:
From the starting point, head in the direction of Stolzalpe on the Stolzalpenstraße until you reach the Rinegg junction. From here you follow the road to the village of Rinegg. Then head back in the direction of Murau - you can take a break at the former Hamburger Säge with the Waschlrad.

The special high trail with a magnificent view
You follow the lightly traveled mountain road up the Stolzalpe to the provincial hospital. Formerly known as a lung sanatorium and today the best orthopedists in Austria work here and are responsible for miracles on knees, hips, fingers and shoulders. Shortly before the hospital, take the left turn towards Ringegg.
The high altitude bike path leads you past beautiful farms embedded in the magnificent nature. You will enjoy the beautiful view of the Rantental with the highest mountains in the Murau region, the three-stone Preber at 2,741 m, Roteck at 2,742 m and Barbaraspitze at 2,726 m. Halfway you will come to a small chapel on the left side. A bench offers you the opportunity to rest. Enjoy the panoramic view.
A small detour will take you to the Rottenmann pond. An approx. 2ha fishing pond with Amur carp, pike, sturgeon and trout. A real Eldorado for fishermen. (Fishing permits are available at the tourist office. On your way back you cycle past the former Humburger saw with the Waschlrad and continue along the Rantenradweg to Murau.
Safely put your bikes in the lockable bike garage. In the guest garden you can enjoy a well-deserved snack and homemade ice cream.
