Equipment tips for your next hike from Anna Lercher:
- Hiking boots with a good grip – A secure footing will help you climb up and down safely.
- Hiking clothes – Dress in layers so you're ready for any temperature. Don't forget protection from cold, sun, and rain!
- Hiking backpack – Don't forget a drink and a small snack. Please only pack what you really need.
- Hiking poles – Your perfect companion.
- First aid kit – For minor injuries, make sure you have bandages. Don't forget blister plasters and sun protection! For emergencies, carry a charged mobile phone with the emergency numbers 140 for mountain rescue and 112 for the EU emergency line.

Make sure your hike is well-planned. At the reception, you'll get valuable tips for your special adventure in the Murau mountains. Keep an eye on the weather as you set off. If the weather changes, you can cut your tour short in time to stay safe.
To respect the natural habitat of animals and plants, please stay on the marked paths. If you encounter grazing animals, keep a safe distance and please don't feed them. Please keep your dogs on a leash. If a grazing animal attacks your dog, please let go of it for your safety!

Lachtal Summer Operations
The 6-seater chairlift takes you up to 2,000m above sea level. It's your perfect starting point for a wonderful ridge hike or summit tour. The cozy huts in the valley invite you to linger.
Kornockbahn
With the 6-seater chairlift, you'll reach the fantastic high plateau in no time. The mountain nature adventure area is dedicated to the theme of 'AlmZeit' (Alpine Time) and Nocky, the mountain hare. For real fun, try the ride down with the Nockyflitzer – the super-fast summer toboggan run on the Turrach.
Kreischberg Gondola
The new 10-seater gondola takes you comfortably from the valley up to 1,800 meters above sea level. From here, you can either take a leisurely stroll across flat alpine meadows and through the Swiss pine forest, or choose the easy climb to one of the nearby peaks. The adventure trails Dinowald, KreiSchi Safari, and Geisterbahn are a 'must-do' for any family hiking day.
