The Alpine Experience Trail is a 1.5 km long path with 7 interactive stations. Various topics like alpine pastures, forests, water, alpine farming, meadows and pastures, high valley views, and high mountains and geology are clearly explained on over 20 boards with practical examples. This way, children and families can learn about the importance of the alpine pastures in an exciting and playful way. At different stations (like making Styrian cheese, experiences at the humming stone...), you can test your knowledge and skills.

Apart from hiking, you can also fill your holiday at Murauer Hotel Gasthof Lercher with lots of other fun activities. For instance, you could have an exciting day at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg in the Murau - Kreischberg region. In the evening, you can relax with a cozy dinner at Lercher's Restaurant and a massage in the hotel's own wellness area.
Then extend your trip with a short hike to one of the Sparkling Lakes. Following the steeply descending and loudly rushing waterfall, you'll reach the Funkelsee on soft alpine ground. Take a look at your reflection in the crystal-clear mountain lake or dip your feet into the cool water. The refreshment will feel great! Be a little patient and keep your colorful toenails still. Maybe the fish will get curious and want to check out your colorful feet.
A traditional hiker's snack with hearty bacon, hard cheese, a few fresh slices of farm bread, a good apple, and a little treat will give you energy and get you safely back down to the valley.
