Shady round hike for hot days
Starting point about 20 minutes by car from Murau Gasthof Hotel Lercher!
The first 7 kilometers you drive in the Lorenzergraben with your car to a barrier. Here you can park your car. Especially on hot summer days this rather shady circular walk is suitable. Do not forget to pack a drink.
After the hike you can relax in the wellness area of the Murau Gasthof Hotel Lercher. In the in-house Relaxarium, various saunas and relaxing massages await you, among other things. During the next days of your stay you can visit one of the countless excursion destinations in the region.

Directions:
Scenic circular route. Especially recommended on hot days. Pack your swimming tr unks and take the opportunity to jump into the cool water. Follow the signs Simabauerhütte, Hauserersee and Hausererhütte back to your starting point.

Beautiful alpine path for experienced hikers
Unfortunately, there is no possibility to stop for refreshments during the hike. The trail leads you first along a forest path with some stream crossings to the Simabauerhütte.
Keep your eyes open, you might find a local mushroom or some chanterelles. Would you like to try them? We will gladly prepare them for you at Lercher's Restaurant for a small fee. They are best when they are fresh and especially when you pick them yourself.
Hidden in the forest you walk past the Simabauerkreuz, a small chapel. Another small climb and you have almost made it. Nestled in the idyllic landscape, the Hauserersee lake lies before you. Cuff your pants up and go for a round of kneipping. Playing with the cool water will really refresh you. Use your binoculars to watch the chamois at the top of the ridge. After a leisurely picnic in the sun, make your way to the Hausererhütte. The descent is again via a well-marked forest road to your car.
The best period for this tour is from May to July - depending on the weather.
