Hiking through Austria's largest stone pine forest
The starting point is about a 45-minute drive from Murauer Gasthof Hotel Lercher!
The Path of the Senses takes you around the three mountain lakes in Austria's largest stone pine forest. Turracher Höhe is a high plateau at 1,763 m right in the Nockberge mountains. Lake Turrach, Lake Schwarzsee, and Lake Grünsee are surrounded by peaks. This hike is especially beautiful in autumn when the forests are full of vibrant colours.
A tip for a follow-up excursion is the "Alpin Art Gallery" museum, where you can see the world's largest mountain crystals.
